Mary Klentzman has served for six years as Director of the Children’s Special Needs Network. Her undergraduate degree is in English and Education, and she has certification in Nonprofit Management and FastTrac Business Management from Baylor University. She is also a graduate of Partners in Policymaking, a yearlong training in advocacy for people with disabilities.
Mrs. Klentzman serves as one of four Texas Family Voices Network Members and participates in the state Medical Home Workgroup. Mary is a member of the Texas Children’s Policy Council and the Medicaid Managed Care and Children’s Health Insurance Program Regional Advisory Committee. She is Chairman of the Consumer Committee of the Greater Texas Rehab Providers’ Council, an organization of providers of custom wheelchairs that is advocating for higher standards for those providing this service. She actively participates in the Bell County Judge and Commissioners’ Committee on People with Disabilities. Mary is married to Rick Klentzman, and she is the mother of seven children, including an 18-year-old son who has severe cerebral palsy.
Outstanding Board of Directors
Throughout the history of the Children's Special Needs Network, the Board of Directors has been made up of special individuals who have provided insight and direction for this organization. Currently, the Board is made up of an exceptionally dedicated group of community leaders who bring a wealth of information and assistance to CSNN and the families we serve. Worthy of note is the fact that three of these Board Members are original signers of CSNN’s charter.

- Eduardo Lara, President – Manager for Surgery Care and Transplant at Scott & White
- Anne Lueck, Vice President for Grant Projects – Chief of the Section of Speech Pathology and founder of the Children's Special Needs Network.
- Steve Wick, Vice-President for Long-Range Planning – Deputy Director and Director of Counseling for the Central Texas Youth Services Bureau and father of a grown daughter with Sensory Integration Disorder.
- Sandra Wanner, Secretary – Director of the Department of Special Education at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor.
- Jean Coufal, Treasurer – Retired Rehabilitation nurse at Scott & White, currently a Nurse’s Aide instructor at Temple High School.
- J. Brown – District Director for Senator Troy Fraser and former education administrator.
- Sonjanette Crossley –Temple I.S.D. Elementary Special Education Counselor and licensed Social Worker.
- Gloria Holle – Director of the Early Childhood Intervention Program for Central Counties MHMR.
- Melody Euler – Assistant Director of Women’s Ministries at Temple Bible Church and parent of two children with developmental disabilities.
- Henry Jezek – Local Certified Public Accountant.
- Anita Karney – Owner of Karney Information Service, coordinator for the Central Texas Autism/PDD Support Group, member of the Texas Council on Autism/PDD Waco Regional Advisory Committee, and parent of a son with autism.
- Pattie Meador – Grandmother of two grandsons with cerebral palsy.
- Susie Marek – Special Projects Coordinator for Early Childhood Intervention and mother of son with autism.
- Gene Mikeska – Environment Specialist in the Texas Department of State Health Services and father of a son with Muscular Dystrophy.
- Rosario Montgomery – Pediatric Psychologist at Scott & White.
- John Mischtian – Bell County Judge.
- Scott Simmonds – Executive Director of Peaceable Kingdom Retreat Center for Children.
- Steven Vold – Ophthalmologist at Scott & White and parent of a daughter with Down syndrome.
- Jeanette West –Team Coordinator for the Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and Neuromuscular/Tone Clinics at Scott & White and a former special education teacher.
- Marsha White – A Coordinator of the Children’s Special Needs Network facility-based respite program and Coordinator for the Special Needs Sunday School class at Temple Bible Church.
