If you have a passion or skill or you’re otherwise interested in serving families with special needs and the Central Texas community, we have a place for you. Short-term volunteering opportunities include events, fundraising, resource library donations, and diaper donations; long-term volunteering opportunities include our advisory committee. Other opportunities include volunteering at affiliated respite centers.
As a Respite Volunteer, you will enjoy a fun afternoon of playing games and helping with various activities. Respites are held in Waco, Temple, and Killeen. Respite Volunteers will need to check in with the respite location prior to their volunteer date to complete all of the necessary paperwork for the child care facility.
Event Day Volunteer
Volunteer activities for these events include registration duties, children’s activities, and helping families with directions. Currently, CSNN hosts two large events per year—our Annual Conference and Breakfast with Santa.
Volunteer activities include assisting the CSNN office staff in fundraising efforts for various CSNN activities.
CSNN is always in need of diaper donations of the following sizes:
- Diapers size 1-7
- Pull-Ups 2T-3T, 3T-4T, 4T-5T
- GoodNites S-M, M-L, L-XL
CSNN has five levels of sponsorship to fit every budget and degree of involvement with the community. Learn more about our sponsorship levels or become a sponsor today.
CSNN continually updates our books for the most up to date literature and information to share with families. If you have books that may be of interest to the special needs community, you can donate these items to our library. The Resource Library’s location is 204 N. East Street, Suite F, Belton, Texas.
The Advisory Committee is a group of parents, professionals, and others interested in the well-being of children with special needs. These individuals help steer the course for our organization. This is a wonderful fit for you if you enjoy being a part of the planning for large events. This group also serves as a resource base for the CSNN office staff to help with information to give to families.
